Thaddeus Gregory Blanchette, anthropologist at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, criticizes the concept of „pimp“ as a simplistic and moralist accusatory term, that doesn’t allow to understand the socio-economic power relations in the field of sexwork. Blanchette proposes other tools of analysis.
